Advice to Jama’at al-Tableegh – Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani

Advice to Jama'at al-Tableegh | By Shaykh Muhammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani A lengthy transcript from a tape in which Imam al-Albani discusses the various errors found amongst the sect of al-Tableegh. "Praise be to Allaah. Salams and Salat on the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam)" Q: Where do the Jamaa'at-Tableegh go wrong? What is the remedy for their situation? A: The remedy is Knowledge, as we have always advised them. Instead of going out for this "Khurooj", which has no basis in the Sunnah, whereas they make it a Sunnah to be followed. Rather they should sit in the Mosques and learn the hadith and Fiqh and the manner of reading the Read more ...

Sifat Wudhu’ al-Nabi: The Characteristics of the Ablution of the Prophet

Sifat Wudhu' al-Nabi: The Characteristics of the Ablution of the Prophet A translation of the small treatise concerning ablution by Fahd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Shu'ayb. This treatise covers all the intricate details for the ablution of the Salafi. It also reconciles the differences of opinion that are found in some aspects of this act of worship. Introduction Preface Verily all praise is for Allaah, we praise Him and seek His aid and ask for His forgiveness, and we seek refuge with Allaah from the evils of ourselves and our evil actions. Whomever Allaah guides there is none who can misguide him, and whomever Allaah misguides there is none who can Read more ...

A Composed Dialogue on Tawheed

A man by the name of Abdullah (Abdullah literally means the slave/worshipper of Allah) met a man named Abd-un-Nabi (The slave/worshipper of the Prophet) and felt apprehension of this name, thinking, "How can someone make himself the slave and worshipper of someone other than Allah?!" Abdullah thus addressed Abd-un-Nabi, saying: "Do you worship solmeone other than Allah?" Abd-un-Nabi replied. "No! I do not worship anyone other than Allah. I am a Muslim and I worship Allah alone." Abdullah: Then why does your name resemble some Christians names, like Abd-ul-Maseeh (The slave/worshipper of the Messiah, i.e. Jesus. This is a common name among Arab Christians). Read more ...

Do not sully your scrolls after Hajj! Advice from Sk Uthaymeen

Do not sully your scrolls after Hajj! Advice from Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih Al-Uthaymeen: Returning to sins after performing the obligatory Hajj is a major setback; because the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) said: "Whoever performs the obligatory Hajj and does not commit obscenity or sin, he will return - meaning from his sins - like the day his mother gave birth to him." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 1521] And he (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) said: "The accepted Hajj has no reward except for paradise." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] Thus if he purifies and cleans his scrolls with his Hajj then it is foolish to blacken the scroll with his evil actions Read more ...

Hajj notes (Printable PDF)

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy First and foremost I thank The Almighty Allah for having granted me the beneficial knowledge, health, wealth and time and all other uncounted Mercy and Blessings, without which we can achieve nothing. Allah (Subhanahu Ta’ala) says in the Quran: “Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-‘Alamin (the mankind and jinns). In it are manifest signs (for example), the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham); whosoever enters it, he attains security. And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka’bah) Read more ...

Hajj, an Obligation

Allah (Subhanahu Ta’ala) says in the Quran: "O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing. The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah. And among mankind is he who disputes concerning Allah, without knowledge, and follows every rebellious (disobedient to Allah) Shaitan (devil) (devoid of each and every kind of good)." [Surah al-Hajj, 22:1-3] These opening ayat in Surah al-Hajj are a Read more ...

Inspiration: Islam and Racism

Episode-12 (final episode - Season 1) from the amazing Inspiration Series by Mohamed Zeyara. Islam does not pay attention to differences in colour, race or lineage. All people come from Adam, and Adam was created from dust. In Islam, differentiation between people is based on faith (eemaan) and piety (taqwaa), by doing that which Allah has enjoined and avoiding that which Allah has prohibited. Allah says in the Quran:  "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. he is one of Read more ...

Performing Actions Equal to Hajj in Reward

Source: Muslimmatters.org | By: Shaykh Waleed Basyouni There are so many like myself could not go to Hajj this year, but even when we are physically far away from Makkah, our hearts with the Hujjaj (pilgrims), thinking about what they are doing, praying for them and hoping to be like them soon. One of the things that I thought could help us to catch up with them is to do the actions that equal to Hajj in reward! Yes, equal to Hajj as our prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed us. 1. Abu Hurayrah radyAllahu 'anhu (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: "The poor came to the Messenger of Read more ...

At Arafat, Tears Speak Louder Than Words

A white sea of faithful surged from Mina to Arafat as dawn broke on the second day of the five-day event. Waves of men in seamless white robes and veiled women in long dresses joined voices in a crescendo chanting Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik (O God, here I am answering your call). The pilgrims were completely lost to their surroundings in a fervor of religious enthusiasm. Many had tears streaming down their cheeks while others raised their faces to the sky, beseeching Allah for forgiveness and mercy. It was hot, with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees Celsius. However, the harsh sun did not dampen the spirit of the pilgrims and they remained unperturbed Read more ...
