In the Name of Allah, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful

All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I ask His forgiveness, seek His aid, and ask Him for guidance. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil that is in ourselves, and from the evil of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, none can send astray, and whomever Allah sends astray, none can guide. I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone and without partner. And, I testify that Muhammad (SAW) is His slave and Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, his family, his companions and the rightly guided predecessors until the Last Day. Ameen!

As-salaam’ wa-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

Welcome to my blog! I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all who visit my blog.

I started this blog primarily to input my heart content on my life. But gradually, the topic shifted to the Big picture.. the greatest truth… Islam. The focus is on spreading the truth about Islam. I believe that our Religion calls to many essentials, so we call to the most essential affair, followed by that which is next in importance, in accordance to the Quranic and Prophetic texts, just as Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) said to Mu’aadh b. Jabal (radhiAllaahu anhu): “Let the first thing you call them to be that they worship Allaah alone. If they affirm that, then inform them that Allaah has obligated upon them five prayers during the night and day. If they affirm that, then inform them that Allaah has obligated upon them the Zakaat..”

I call, first and foremost, to the worship of Allaah alone, without associating partners with Him. This was the starting point of the call of the Messengers (alayhumus salaam), just as Allaah has stated: “We sent a messenger to every nation proclaiming: Worship Allaah alone and leave the worship of the false deities.” So this call to the worship of Allaah alone is coupled with the negation of the worship of anything besides Him.

The Sunnah is Revelation just as the Quran is Revelation, just as Allaah, the Most High, said: “He (the Prophet) does not speak from his desires, rather it is nothing except Revelation that is sent to him.” I believe that the Sunnah is whatever was conveyed to the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam)other than the Quran due the saying of the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam): “Indeed I have been given the Quran and that which is like it.”

This blog is a simple and humble effort on my part to spread the beautiful Deen of Allaah and to inform the people about the Religion and on issues concerning the Muslim ‘Ummah in general. In-sha’Allaah, it will be of some benefit.

On some opinions, we may share a common ground while other times, we shall depart on different paths. However I just want you to know that I respect all opinions and mine will never stand superior to any. The only ruling and opinion that stands on highness is that of Allaah and His messenger. For all the ‘Ummah, the authentic sources of Islam, should be the Quran, which is the word of God, and the authentic Sunnah, and the traditions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him).

“My counsel, if I wished to counsel you, I cannot profit you if Allah has decided that you should go astray. He is your Lord and to Him you shall be returned.” (Quran, Surah Hud 11:34)

  16. Hi there – I’m messaging from my own wordpress site just to see if I can get in touch with you (but my site isn’t related to the project I’m working for that I’m contacting you about). I’m wondering about using one of your images in a piece of educational technology I am working on. The image is of Iftar at Prophet Muhammad (SAW)’s Mosque. (Let me know if there is a better way I can contact you–but I will include details below.)

Our usage would involve very limited distribution initially—under 200 students, who would be utilizing the technology we are working on for two months. The project involves a specialized use of imagery to enhance vocabulary acquisition in foreign language learning, by pairing new words with striking, distinctive images. We are still in testing phases, so usage is entirely non-commercial, non-public, and on a tight budget. We need further proof of concept before possibly advancing to commercial usage. In this event, we would be able to pay you according to regular rates for use of your images.

Use of the image would always be credited with your name, and would greatly assist the learning of students in the classroom.

Thanks very much for your consideration.
    Sincerely,
    Drake Logan

  32. Subhanallah~Thank you for creating this blog. It shows how beautiful Islam is. Can I share the information and the photo with my muslim and non-muslim friends? May Allah always bless you and your generation. Amin.

  33. Thank you for posting my comments. I tried so many sites when I first discovered MJ’s Illahis, but I gave up posting comments because they were constantly deleted and the comments ability shut down…I was a little too persistent I guess. Perhaps it was too fresh just after Michael’s death, but to this day, those sites still do not accept comments. For this and other reasons, I became very disillusioned (and ANGRY) at muslims in “islamic” countries distorting the truth and misrepresenting Islam, particularly when I discovered that to speak the truth as I know it has resulted in death for many of my real brothers and sisters living in countries that are supposed to be majority muslim.
May Allah show them the errors of their ways. May Allah increase our faith and knowledge daily. May all the true muslims in Islamic countries be successful in representing Islam more accurately than they have been. May they not be killed for doing so. There are way too many Imams and Mullahs making up laws, particularly relating to women. Prophet Mohammed, may Allah commend and salute him, came to liberate women. He would not be impressed!!! May all muslims follow Allah’s mighty Qu’ran and sunnet and see through the lies propagated by Mullahs and Imams who are obviously clueless. The Qu’ran is complete. If a law cannot be supported by the Qu’ran or Sunnet, it should be disgarded as it is not the straight path. Many of the laws in “Islamic” countries are cultural and/or pagan and have no foundation in the Qu’ran. May everyone who intends to follow Islam find greater knowledge and faith daily. May Allah reward your efforts.

  34. Dear Brother Naved Zia,

Assalaam u Alaikum Wa Rahamtullahi Wa Barakatuh!

Just this morning, browsing through the Internet, I got to your article on Adam Alaih Assalaam and was very impressed. Would like to know more about you, as to whoi you are, where you are from and where you live now, so on and so forth.

As for me, I’m originally from Hyderabad Deccan, India, but now live in Switzerland. I’m Swiss as well as American. Professionally, I’m a banker. I take a keen interest in Islamic studies and have written a number of articles and I follow the Hanifa Fiqha, although all other Fiqhas are equally acceptable to me.

I should be delighted to hear from you shortly.

Fi Amanillah with a respectful Salaam,
    S.M. Ahmeduddin Ali Khan
