Allah says in the Quran, Surah Al Muddaththir, 74:40-46 :-

How the Quran Justifies Itself
In a previous posting about Islam’s rational monotheism (which may be read here), we saw how the Qur’an espouses a universal rationalist discourse to substantiate some of its main theological doctrines. As for how the Qur’an vindicates itself, and rationalises its claim of truly being the Word of God, it deploys the following line of argument:

Islam’s Rational Monotheism
Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad explains: ‘In the Western milieu, converts to Islam claim that they are attracted to what they regard as its clear, rationally-accessible teachings, unobscured by elaborate mysteries. From this point of view, three verses of the Qur'an should command our full attention. One expresses, without any trace of ambiguity, what man should and will achieve in this field. In the other two, God refers for the sake of the unbelievers in Makkah to the surprise they would have if they were able to raise themselves up to the Heavens; He alludes to a hypothesis which will not be realized for the latter.

A cursory reading of any translation of the Quran leaves one wondering why Allah (swt) repeats the stories of the Prophets so many times. It is related that Prophet Musa `alayhi sallatu wa sallam(may Allah send His peace and blessings on him) throws down his staff which swallows up the snakes of the magicians, and a few chapters later the same episode is related again. Everyone has certain ayaat that really shake them and bring everything into perspective. For me, it’s ayah 30 of Surah al Furqan. Gets me every single time.
Then the Messenger will say: “O my Lord! Truly my people took this Quran for just foolish nonsense.”
Tafsir ibn Kathir:
“And those who disbelieve say: “Listen not to this Quran, and make noise in the midst of it.” (Quran, 41:26).

Why are there so many Earthquakes?
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family, companions, and those who follow his guidance.
Allah is the All-Wise, All-Knowing in all that He wills and decrees, and He is the All-Wise, All-Knowing in all that He legislates and commands. We humans are blessed with a complete manual for our lives, that is – The Holy Quran. We can’t imagine having a better guidance that can help us to achieve a balanced life. However, there comes a time when we find it difficult to comprehend or to grasp the exact meaning of the verses in the Holy book. In order to understand it further one should refer to other sources of information such as books of Tafseer, Ahadiths, Fiqah, Qasas Al Anbia (stories of the prophets), etc which are written by Islamic scholars who work really hard in conveying the message of Allah.
