It’s easy because Allah made it easy for you
Don't boast to others that it's easy for you to do something others find difficulty in. It's easy because Allah made it easy for you.
Its a Luxury to be safe in our homes with our children while there are other parts of the world where people have bombs dropping on their heads. Appreciate the luxury that we are in & make du'a for our brothers & sisters around the globe. The more time you spend complaining about your problems, the less time you'll have to enjoy your blessings. Make your everyday an opportunity to turn back to Him.
Every moment is an opportunity to thank Him. Everything around us is a reminder to remember Him. Don't belittle Read more ...
Blogging and Accountability
Writing and Blogging on the Internet and its Accountability
Today many people have blogs and are active participants in the blogosphere and other social network sites and forums on the internet.
But how many of us immerse into and follow the ethics, etiquette and definite accountability associated with writing?
How many of us realize the reach that our writing would have and that we will be answerable for the same on the day of judgment?
Al-Qa'nabi once found his teacher Imam Malik crying profusely, so he is asked him the reason for the weeping.
Imam Malik responded: "Who is more worthy of crying than me. I do not speak a word except that it Read more ...
WHY me, Allah? Why me?
‘WHY me, Allah? Why me? Why not anyone else? Was I the only one created to suffer difficulties in this life?’
I recall getting stuck in problems a few years back. The problem was really serious, and I had transgressed this time. I felt as though I had betrayed my own family and myself. It isn’t easy for anyone to go through a storm, especially when you have absolutely no one by your side.
I still can’t forget those painful days! As I had no one to help me, no one to talk to me, no one to listen to me and no one to stand by my side, except my family and a few friends, but the problem was something that I had to come out of myself. I was left Read more ...
Good parenting is like being a Good Muslim
"A father cannot give a better gift to his child than a good education." (Tirmidhi)
Becoming a parent was an amazing experience. I am blessed with two beautiful baby girls and I pray to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala (Glorified is He) that He raises them as good and pious human.
Good parenting is like being a Good Muslim – both require continuous struggles to stay focused on our goals (that is, if we take the time to even set them in the first place), being conscious of the consequences of our choices, an ongoing and honest evaluation of ourselves, and the best efforts to improve our condition.
"Allah does not change the condition of people until Read more ...
Treasure Your Parents
It’s a classic movie scene, almost cliche: a grown child leaving home as his parents standby watching. The mother, usually weeping, is being consoled by her husband. Today's children think that it was the parents who were losing in these situations. Typically the child is beaming, excited at the new prospects that await, while the parents are sad as their progeny heads forth to tackle the world alone. In reality, that is not the case; in fact, it is the child who loses the most.
As we grow up, it seems as if we develop a sense of independence and self-reliance. We like to do things for ourselves – we enjoy setting our own schedules and determining Read more ...
Picture Perfect : Beautiful Du’a
“Ya Allah, give us eyes that see the best in people, hearts that forgive the worst, minds that forget the bad and a soul that never loses faith in You!” – Ameen!
Are You a Sign of the Last Day?

It was while watching the Oprah Winfrey Show many years ago when I realized that times have really changed…This particular show interviewed a mother who had written and published a children's book and dedicated it to her daughter. The mother shared with Oprah that she now realized that she had spent many of the daughter's young years working hard in her career and hadn't given her daughter the time and attention she deserved.
The book was a gift from mother to daughter saying, I'm sorry and I love you. Moved by the sincerity of the mother, Oprah turned to the daughter, Read more ...

Have we returned to the days of Jahiliyyah??
Allah says in the Quran,
"O ye who believe! Fear God as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam. And hold fast, all together, by the rope which God (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude God's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth God make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided. Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones Read more ...
