Obligation of Zakatul-Fitr (Sadaqatul-Fitr) Ibn Umar (radhiAllaahu anhu) narrated: "Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) made obligatory the payment of one Sa' (approx 2.6 Kg) of dates or one Sa' of barley as zakatul-fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old; and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer 'Eid prayer." [Bukhari, 1503] Ibn Umar (radhiAllaahu anhu) said: "The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) made obligatory on every male or female, free man or slave, the payment of one Sa' of dates or barley as sadaqatul-fitr." Practical advice to know the time of five daily Prayers

Praise be to Allaah. Allaah says in the Quran: "Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours." [Surah an-Nisa', 4:103] Allaah has enjoined upon His slaves five prayers throughout the day and night at specific times decreed by the wisdom of Allaah so that the slave may be in contact with his Lord in these prayers throughout all of these times. They are for the heart like water for a tree, given to it time after time, not all in one go and then it stops. Part of the wisdom behind doing the prayers at these times is so that people will not get bored or find it too difficult, which would happen if they all had to be done at once. Blessed Read more ...

Ramadan : Time is a blessing

From Ibn 'Abbas (RA) who said that Allah's Messenger (salAllahu 'alaihi wa'sallam) said: "There are two blessings which many people lose: health and free time." [Al Bukhari] So how can one who has no free time preoccupy himself with this world? How can one whose time is filled experience free time? So consider, may Allah have Mercy upon you, what one of the scholars said about one of the Imams: 'I was a neighbour of his at the school in Cairo, my house was above his house. For twelve years, I did not awake on any night, at any hour of the night except that I noticed candle light in his house and he was occupied with knowledge. Even when he was Read more ...

Makkah Time : The new alternative for GMT

They said that Makkah is the center of the world. “Putting Makkah time in the face of Greenwich Read more ...

Are You Killing Something?

Are You Killing Something? Source : http://blog.iloveallaah.com/ The Quran and Sunnah both emphasize the importance of time in the life of a Muslim. Ramadan Calls For The Preservation Of Time

Ramadan Calls For The Preservation Of Time - Shaykh `Aa'id Abdullah al-Qarnee   Allah describes the discourse between Himself and the reckless and negligent on the Day of Judgement: "Allah will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little - if ye had only known! Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour!" (Surah Al Mu'minun 23:112-116) One of the righteous Read more ...

Time is of essence

Time is of the essence. It is too precious to be wasted or neglected. The wise person is one who pays attention to time and does not treat it as a vessel to be filled with cheap things and vain talk. Instead, the wise person limits it to worthy efforts and righteous deeds that please Allah and benefit others. Every minute of a person's life carries the potential to raise that person's status, to attain Allah's pleasure, and to make other people happier, little by little. If you are keen to attain the high ranks in Paradise, a high position in this life, and bring the most happiness to your people, then forget about relaxing and keep away from empty amusements.
