"O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, a humble heart, certainty based on truth, and a tongue that moves in constant remembrance of You! O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for every sin that You prohibited to me but I opposed You by committing; and every sin that You forewarned me of but I remained firm in committing; and every sin that You deemed abominable but my lower self made attractive to me. Interpersonal Skills: How the Prophet dealt with Adversaries

The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wassallam) would always be just with the disbelievers and even be ready to sacrifice his life in order to call them to Islam and rectify their affairs. He would bear their evils with patience and try to overlook their harms. Why would he not do so when Allah has said: “We have sent you as a mercy…” To whom? To the believers only? No; rather, “To the world.” Think about the Jews who would insult him and instigate trouble, whilst he would continue to be gentle with them. ‘A’ishah – may Allah be pleased with her – said, “The Jews once passed by the Prophet’s house and said: ‘as-Saam ‘alaykum’ Read more ...

Rabi’ah al-Aslami narrated: “I used to serve the Messenger of Allah. So, he gave me a piece of land, and gave Abu Bakr a piece of land. Then, the worldly life came and and we argued over a bunch of palm trees, and Abu Bakr said: “It is in my piece of land!” and I said: “It is in my piece of land!” Then, there was an exchange of words between Abu Bakr and myself. So, Abu Bakr said something to me that I disliked, and he regretted that. So, he said to me: “O Rabi’ah! Say back to me what I said to you so that we would be equal.” I said: “I will not do so!” Abu Bakr said: “Say it, or I will call the Messenger of Allah on you!” I said: Read more ...

[Surah Al A'raf 7:199] In another verse Allah commands: "... let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." [Surah Al Nur 24:22] Those who do not abide by the moral values of the Quran find it very difficult to forgive others. Because, they are easily angered by any error committed. Allah is the Most Forgiving

It was narrated that in the days that Musa (Alahi salaam) wandered with Bani Israel in the desert, an intense drought befell them. Together, they raised their hands towards the heavens praying for the blessed rain to come. Then, to the astonishment of Musa (Alahi salaam) and all those watching, the few scattered clouds that were in the sky vanished, the heat poured down, and the drought intensified. It was revealed to Musa that there was a sinner amongst the tribe of Bani Israel who had disobeyed Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) for more than forty years of his life. “Let him separate himself from the congregation,” Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) told Read more ...
