The Attribute of Allah that embraces all things is His Mercy. Allah says: "...but My mercy extendeth to all things." (Surah Al A'raf 7:156) We should constantly seek forgiveness of Allah and turn back to Him while hoping in His Mercy and fearing His Punishment. What better way to end this month of mercy than by seeking forgiveness and mercy from Allah! The Read more ...

Ramadan : Success in The Hereafter

Allah says in Surah Ali 'Imran, "Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception." (Surah Ali 'Imran 3:185) Allah describes the successful person as the one who is saved from the Fire and enters Jannah; our true success lies in the hereafter. This dua asks Allah azza wa jal for the best in our aakhirah and to save us from the worst end. In a Sahih (authentic) hadith in Sunan Ibn Maajah, A'ishah (RA) narrated that Read more ...

Ramadan : The Greatest Delight

"The supplication of every one of you will be granted if he does not get impatient." [Bukhari and Muslim] One of the most beautiful avenues of communication with our Creator is through the avenue of dua. We are all aware of the technicalities of dua but do we ever reflect over the concept itself? Dua is a mercy, a gift given to us by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala; can you imagine anyone in a position of authority wanting to reward you for asking anything of them so that they can grant it? It is indeed an undervalued possession and an underestimated weapon, and if ever we were to take the full advantage of this ni'mah we would realize its true essence, which Read more ...
