A very detailed explanation of the hadeeth of intention from the tremendous work of Ibn Rajab. Below are translated excerpts from the beautiful work by Imaam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalee (rahmatullah) entitled 'Jaami Al-Uloom wal Hikm' in which he has a detailed commentary on 50 ahaadeeth of the Messenger (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam). Why were we Created?

Why were we Created? Not just Muslims, but every single human being has to answer the most fundamental question at some point in his or her lifetime: "Why was I created? Why am I here?
