The Lie of Santa Claus

Al-hamdulillah, All praise be to Allah alone, for making us Muslims and bestowing us the Deen of Islam to distinguish right and wrong. The holiday season is upon us again, and the ugly head of Satan is rising again to inspire people to indulge in innovation and shirk. Christians Lying About Santa Claus Sheikh Yusuf Estes deals out a few home truths about Christians, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Bible. As Yusuf Estes mentioned the bigger lie is that of associating partners with God. The word 'Christmas' is not even present in the entire Bible. The Bible has closed lips on the entire feast of Christmas with one exception, the decoration Read more ...

Quran: Read about Prophet Jesus before you think to burn it!

In the Quran, there are many stories about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ (called 'Isa in Arabic). The Quran recalls his miraculous birth, his teachings, the miracles he performed by God's permission, and his life as a respected prophet of God. The Quran also repeatedly reminds that Jesus was a human prophet sent by God, not part of God Himself. Below are some direct quotations from the Quran regarding his life and teachings of Jesus (pbuh). "And indeed, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book and followed him up with a succession of Messengers. And We gave 'Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael Read more ...

Quran : Read it before you burn it!!

The book you are about to read is an English translation of the Scripture that Prophet Muhammad said was revealed to him by God, word for word, in the Arabic language. This Scripture is still in existence and hundreds of thousands of Muslims the world over, including non-Arabic speakers, have it preserved in their memories, just as they have been preserving it for the past fourteen centuries. This book is the Quran. This book is not only still with us in its original form, but the life of the man to whom it was revealed is also recorded in authentic historical records so meticulously that some of the Westerners who studied his life have described him Read more ...

How the Quran Justifies Itself

In a previous posting about Islam’s rational monotheism (which may be read here), we saw how the Qur’an espouses a universal rationalist discourse to substantiate some of its main theological doctrines. As for how the Qur’an vindicates itself, and rationalises its claim of truly being the Word of God, it deploys the following line of argument: Firstly, it states that the Prophet Muhammad, upon whom be peace, was an unlettered Prophet [7:157]; that is, he was unable to read or write, and most certainly uneducated in the modern sense of the word: And you did not used to recite any book before this, and nor did you write it with your right hand. For Read more ...

Islam’s Rational Monotheism

Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad explains: ‘In the Western milieu, converts to Islam claim that they are attracted to what they regard as its clear, rationally-accessible teachings, unobscured by elaborate mysteries. It is not only insiders who wish to take this view. Non-Muslim academic accounts... now frequently draw attention to the central role of reason in Islamic theology.’ 1 He quotes Leaman in his The Qur’an: An Encyclopedia, saying: ‘The Qur’an does indeed display an unusual commitment to argument and logic in its self-explanation.’ 2 Earlier in the same volume, Leaman says that whereas Judaism is strongly linked with ethnicity, and Christianity Read more ...

The Lesser and Greater Signs of The Day of Resurrection

Praise be to Allah. The signs and portents of the Day of Resurrection are the things that will happen before the Resurrection takes place and will indicate that it is close at hand. They have been divided into lesser and greater signs. The lesser signs, for the most part, will occur a long time before the Resurrection begins. Some of them have happened and ended – although they may be repeated – and some of them have appeared and are ongoing, and some have not yet happened, but they will happen as the truthful one (the Prophet) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has told us. The Major Signs are serious matters, the appearance of which will Read more ...

The Truth about Jesus : The Muslim Nation is More Worthy of Jesus Than All Others

All Praise is for Allah alone. He is the Rabb of all that exists. Surely, we send the highest Salah and Salaam upon the Final Prophet, the leader of the pious and upon his family, companions and those who follow their example with Ih’san till the Day of Reckoning. One of the greatest hurdles confronting Muslims today is a lack of knowledge about certain essential beliefs that we as Muslims must unwaveringly adhere to. Of the most pertinent issues facing Muslims living in localities that are heavily influenced by western culture is how we view ‘Isa bin Maryam - Jesus the Son of Mary – alaihis salaam (AS). On a cyclical basis we are confronted Read more ...

Elevation or Crucifixion of Jesus?

Elevation or Crucifixion of Jesus? Source : Stories of the Prophets (Darussalam), Imam Ibn Kathir Allah says: "And when Allah said: ‘O Jesus! I will take you and lift you up to Me, and purify you of those who disbelieve, and will make those who followed you above those who disbelieved until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me shall you all return, and I shall judge between you in that which you dispute.’" [Surah Ali 'Imran3:54,55] Then He said in Surah Al Nisa': "For their breaking the covenant, and their disbelief in Allah’s Signs, and their slaying the Prophets unjustly, and for their saying: 'Our hearts are impermeable'. No, but Allah has set Read more ...

Peace Be Upon You

Peace Be Upon You - The Muslim Greeting The Muslim greeting of "as-salaamu alaykum" in Arabic means "peace be upon you". It may be news to many that this greeting was taught by Moses (Musa, peace be upon him) the prophet of Judaism, and Jesus (Isa, peace be upon him) the prophet of Christianity. The language of Moses was Hebrew: In Hebrew the greeting is: "shalom aleichem". This means the same as "as-salaamu alaykum". Traditionally the pious Jews use the greeting "shalom aleichem", "peace be upon you!" And its natural response is: "aleichem shalom", "upon you be peace," or the slightly more formal "wa'aleichem ashalom", meaning "and upon you be peace." Read more ...
