Jesus a Prophet of Islam

Jesus the Messiah in Islam, in Christianity & in Reality

Christians and Muslims have differed for centuries over the nature and status of Jesus Christ. Both religions revere him and both believe him to be of virgin birth. Both religions claim to know his true nature and purpose. Muslims believe that Christian leaders of old altered the scriptures in order to redefine the status of this noble and virtuous Prophet of Almighty God. In fact, eminent Christian theologians readily admit that the Bible has been altered throughout the ages, so in that respect there is no disagreement. The renowned Biblical scholar from the USA, Dr. Bart D. Ehrman, formerly the president of the Southeast Region of the Society of Biblical Read more ...

A Composed Dialogue on Tawheed

A man by the name of Abdullah (Abdullah literally means the slave/worshipper of Allah) met a man named Abd-un-Nabi (The slave/worshipper of the Prophet) and felt apprehension of this name, thinking, "How can someone make himself the slave and worshipper of someone other than Allah?!" Abdullah thus addressed Abd-un-Nabi, saying: "Do you worship solmeone other than Allah?" Abd-un-Nabi replied. "No! I do not worship anyone other than Allah. I am a Muslim and I worship Allah alone." Abdullah: Then why does your name resemble some Christians names, like Abd-ul-Maseeh (The slave/worshipper of the Messiah, i.e. Jesus. This is a common name among Arab Christians). Read more ...

A Prophet King or a Slave Messenger?

"Do not over praise me as the Christians over-praised 'Eesaa, son of Maryam. Indeed, I am only a slave. So call me the Slave of Allah and His Messenger." This is an excerpt from the last chapter of Ibn Rajab's [1] famous book: al-Khushoo' fis-Salaat. Here, he deals with the status of a slave-messenger which the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) actually selected for himself when given the choice.  The chapter expounds upon the nobility of such a choice and the reasons behind it. Pay special attention to the advice of Ibraaheem Ibn Adham at the end, although it is da'eef jiddan in its chain, it is tremendous in meaning. The Prophet (sallallaahu Read more ...

Enmity of Jews towards Jibril

Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn 'Abbas said, "A group of Jews came to Allah's Prophet and said, 'Talk to us about some things we will ask you and which only a Prophet would know.' He said, 'Ask me about whatever you wish. However, give your pledge to Allah, similar to the pledge that Ya'qub took from his children, that if I tell you something and you recognize its truth, you will follow me in Islam.' They said, 'Agreed.' The Prophet said, 'Ask me about whatever you wish.' They said, 'Tell us about four matters: 1. What kinds of food did Israel prohibit for himself 2. What about the sexual discharge of the woman and the man, and what role does each Read more ...

Quran: Read about Prophet Jesus before you think to burn it!

In the Quran, there are many stories about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ (called 'Isa in Arabic). The Quran recalls his miraculous birth, his teachings, the miracles he performed by God's permission, and his life as a respected prophet of God. The Quran also repeatedly reminds that Jesus was a human prophet sent by God, not part of God Himself. And We gave 'Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael Read more ...

The Truth about Jesus : The Muslim Nation is More Worthy of Jesus Than All Others

All Praise is for Allah alone. He is the Rabb of all that exists. Surely, we send the highest Salah and Salaam upon the Final Prophet, the leader of the pious and upon his family, companions and those who follow their example with Ih’san till the Day of Reckoning. One of the greatest hurdles confronting Muslims today is a lack of knowledge about certain essential beliefs that we as Muslims must unwaveringly adhere to. Of the most pertinent issues facing Muslims living in localities that are heavily influenced by western culture is how we view ‘Isa bin Maryam - Jesus the Son of Mary – alaihis salaam (AS).
