Al Quran – Your Companion for Life

From Darkness into Light

“Behold this (Quran) is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):” (Surah Al Tariq 86:13)

Oh you who believe, this is your beacon of light that the kuffaar (disbelievers) and munafiqeen (hypocrites) are trying to extinguish even though Allah Most Great says:

“…but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).” (Surah Al Tawbah 9:32)

The Quran contains strength that cannot be equalled in any way. It contains the foundation of Imaan (faith) and the ocean that quenches the thirst for knowledge – a constant reminder for those who choose to remember.

O believers!

This is the delight of the people of wisdom and the greatest cure for all ailments.

Do you yearn for guidance?

Then turn to the Quran – The Quran is meant to be read often!

Do you wish to possess the criterion between truth and falsehood?

Then turn to the Quran – the verses are meant to be reflected upon!

Do wish to live in peace?

Then strive to understand the message of the Quran and apply it to your life – Eternal peace will be yours!

“And this is a Book (the Quran) which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it and be righteous, that ye may receive mercy: ” (Surah Al An’am 6:155)

Sadly, due to picking and choosing which Ayaats to follow, every possible social ill is prevalent and widely accepted within “Muslim” societies.

Beyond that the society has taken a stance of silence while Muslims are raped, bombed and murdered – far removed from the best of nations mentioned by Allah:

“Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah…” (Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:110)

O Muslimeen, the relation between the Book of Allah Azzawajal and mankind is like the relationship between the soul and the body. Without the soul the body is dead, devoid of any life. Without adhering to the laws of, and acting in accordance with the Book of Allah Azzawajal – man is in a state of spiritual death! The cure for this spiritual death lies in practising upon the Quranic injunctions, holding firmly onto them whilst standing along side the carriers, supporters and defenders of the Shariah – a true healing for the body and soul and a mercy unto ALL mankind.

“We send down (stage by stage) in the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe:…” (Surah Al Isra’ 17:82)

Why is it that the Quran is recited from cover to cover yet the application of Allah Azzawajal’s Commands are ignored?

Why is the primary focus of some only the beauty of the voice during recitation – without any understanding of the great importance of the Quranic injunctions?

Do we not have any common sense?

Beware O Muslimeen for there are some who use the Quran to justify their vain desires while disregarding Allah Azzawajal’s Laws. The elements of jaahiliyyah (ignorance) overtake them to such an extent that they routinely engage in frivolous debate and discussion about the Words of Allah Azzawajal, missing the very essence of having to live by its guidance.

“We have explained in detail in this Quran, for the benefit of mankind, every kind of similitude: but man is, in most things, contentious.” (Surah Al Kahf 18:54)

Others reject the Sunnah of Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and along with it, the methodology of the practical application of the Words of Allah Azzawajal!

“…but We have made the (Quran) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou (O Muhammad) dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,-” (Surah Al Shura 42:52)

It is heart breaking that so many people have abandoned the struggle to bring the Words of the Quran to life by action.

O you who believe! READ, UNDERSTAND, REFLECT, PRACTISE and STRIVE to establish Allah Azzawajal’s Words in your life! For the closer you are to the Quran in intention and action, so will you be closer to attaining Jannah InshaAllah!

“Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the ones whose striving will be thanked by Allah.” (Surah Al Isra’ 17:19)

Why is it that the Quran in the form of a book can be seen everywhere except in the lives and character of people? O servant of Allah! This was NOT the reason for its revelation!

“Alif Lam Ra. Book which We have revealed unto thee (O Muhammad), in order that thou mightest lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into light – by the leave of their Lord – to the Way of (Him) the Exalted in power, worthy of all praise!-” (Surah Ibrahim 14:1)

The extent of the distance from the essence of the Quran has resulted in some people adorning their homes and businesses with Ayaats (verses) from the Quran while others wear Ayaat around their necks, either for show or for “protection”. If one’s heart is diseased through disobedience to Allah Most High, how can anything else offer protection of any kind?

“When a slave commits a sin a black dot is placed on his heart. Then if that person gives up that evil deed, begs Allah to forgive him, and repents, then his heart is cleaned; but if he repeats the evil deed, then that covering is increased till his heart is completely covered with it. And that is Ar-Ran (covering) which Allah mentioned in the Quran (Al Mutaffifin 83:14): “Nay! But on their hearts is the Ar-Ran which they used to earn” (Tirmidhi)

Many Muslims are dangerously abandoning the Laws of Allah by their open-handed acceptance of man-made laws – laws of the taaghut (false deities and leaders). Directing them towards the punishment of Allah Azzawajal are those corrupt scholars who make halaal (allowed) that which Allah Azzawajal has made haraam (forbidden) and vice versa.

They legitimise interest based loans from the bank even though Riba is haraam!

They advocate that democracy is something good even though Allah is Al-Haakim (The Only Law Giver) and that removing the hijab is acceptable, even though Allah Azzawajal has commanded believing women to wear the hijab!

“Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the Evil Ones (Taghut): from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (forever).” (Surah Al Baqarah 2:257)

O slave of Allah Azzawajal! Realise the weight of the Quran! Throw away the garb of jaahiliyyah by abandoning the ways of the kuffaar!

Hasten to the obedience of Allah Azzawajal alone!

“Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect.” (Surah Al Hashr 59:21)

Where do you stand?

Are you among those who strive to live in total compliance to the Quran – the SUCCESSFUL?

Or are you among those who are heedless and choose to ignore in part or in totality its teachings – the LOSERS?

“Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.” (Surah Al Hadid 57:16)

“O Allah, make the Quran the Spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness and the reliever of my distress” (Musnad Ahmad)
