What is the Punishment of Rape crime in Islam?
Praise be to Allah.
The Arabic word ightisaab refers to taking something wrongfully by force. It is now used exclusively to refer to transgression against the honor of women by force (rape).
This is an abhorrent crime that is forbidden in all religions and in the minds of all wise people and those who are possessed of sound human nature. All earthly systems and laws regard this action as abhorrent and impose the strictest penalties on it, except a few states which waive the punishment if the rapist marries his victim! This is indicative of a distorted mind let alone a lack of religious commitment on the part of those who challenge Allah Read more ...
And His Cries Went Unheard : Husband Abuse Unveiled
Written By : Umm Zakiyyah
“I DON'T care who’s listening,” the sister spoke angrily into her friend’s phone, prompting the other sisters in the room to look in her direction, concerned expressions on their faces as they halted their own chatter amongst themselves.
“I have somewhere to go, Abdullah. I’m tired of this—“
There was the muffled sound of a man’s voice coming through the receiver.
“No, no, I’m not going to be patient. You are so irresponsible. I can’t depend on you for anything. I swear!”
More muffled sounds.
“You are such a stup—”
The sister stopped mid-syllable as the phone line Read more ...
Women and Double Standards of Chastity
Source: Saudi Life | By - AFIFA JABEEN
THERE was a Facebook post a few days back that went ‘viral’.
It said: “When she is a DAUGHTER, she opens a door of Jannah for her father, when she is a WIFE, she completes half of the Deen of her husband, when she is a MOTHER, Jannah lies under her feet."
Men and women alike commented in huge numbers, their comments gushing forth with exclamations of ‘SubhanAllah’ MaashaaAllah’ ‘Alhumdulillah’ on the post, which garnered some 20,000 plus ‘likes’.
And then there was a friend, who meticulously copied the above quote to her status, but with a little addition. “Still it sucks Read more ...
How I Came to Love the Veil

POLITICIANS AND JOURNALISTS just love to write about the oppression of women in Islam... without even talking to the females beneath the veil.
They simply have no idea how Muslim women are protected and respected within the Islamic framework which was built more than 1400 years ago.
Yet, by writing about cultural issues like child brides, female circumcision, honor killings and forced marriages they wrongly believe they are coming from a point of knowledge.
And I am sick of Saudi Arabia being cited as an example of how women are subjigated in a country where Read more ...

Rights of Women in Islam : HIJAB
Rights of Women in Islam : Hijab
Over the years, the dress code among Muslim women has been given great attention, especially in relation to the hijab practice in which is considered as a symbol of “oppression” towards Muslim women. While Islam is certainly not the only religion to introduce the practice of covering head, it continues to be the centre of attack and heavily discussed as the women’s right issue especially outside Muslim world. Furthermore, this has been included as a political agenda in some countries, which results in Muslim women being oppressed and their freedom to practice their religion was taken away. Sadly, we also see that some Read more ...
Rights of Women in Islam : Inheritance
Rights of Women in Islam : Inheritance
Inheritance deals closely with the distribution of wealth, i.e. dealing with the transfer of the property of the deceased to the descendants. In most of the early societies in ancient civilisation, the right to inherit the deceased properties is often given to the eldest son and male relatives. Female relatives are given lesser right to inherit, and most of the time their right is denied. In fact, in the more modern civilization, the English Common Law did not give the right for women to own their properties until 1880s. The Married Women’s Property Act was only approved by Parliament as late as 1882 in United Kingdom, Read more ...
No: Because I Love You
Wish you all love for the rest of your life, happy Valentines Day. :)
I had come across an article on the internet and I had saved it for this occasion. Its a letter from a guy to his girlfriend. It shows all guys why chastity, although difficult, is the only way to really love a woman. It shows women what men who respect them should say, and how they should act. It gives these women a standard for the type of men they should date, and the type of treatment they should expect.
Basically, it gives teens and single adults of both sexes an answer to "if you loved me, you'd have sex with me". Waiting is about loving..
One of two things is Read more ...
