Salafi Manhaj

What is Salafi Manhaj?

The Salafi Manhaj - Our Da'wah, Our Call 1.  We call, first and foremost, to the worship of Allaah alone, without associating partners with Him. This was the starting point of the call of the Messengers (alayhumus salaam), just as Allaah has stated: "We sent a messenger to every nation proclaiming: Worship Allaah alone and leave the worship of the false deities." So this call to the worship of Allaah alone is coupled with the negation of the worship of anything besides Him. 2.  We believe that our Religion calls to many essentials, so we call to the most essential affair, followed by that which is next in importance, in accordance to the Quranic Read more ...

“There Are Times Where My Heart Feels Clouded”

Al-Agharr al-Muzani, who was one amongst the Companions (of the Holy Prophet) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: "There are times where my heart feels clouded (innahu la yughanu ‘ala qalbi); and I seek Allah’s forgiveness a hundred times a day." [Muslim, Sahih, no.2702] Istighfar or “seeking forgiveness” of Allah is not simply confined to when we commit sins. Rather, courtesy (adab) towards Allah requires us to feel a sense of shyness (haya) before Allah on account of committing what He considers disliked (makruh) too; even when no sin has been committed. At a loftier level of faith, those who are distracted from Allah, Read more ...

When is the Night of Al-Qadr?

Imaams Al-Albaanee and Ibn Al-'Uthaimeen The Night of Al-Qadr occurs in the last ten nights of Ramadan during an odd night (i.e. 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th). However the scholars differ as to if it is fixed to one of these odd nights every year or if it changes every year to a different odd-numbered night. Below are the sayings of two of our great scholars, Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaimeen and Muhammad Naasir-ud-Deen Al-Albaanee (may Allah have mercy on both of them). The Night of Al-Qadr has a Fixed Date: The best night in Ramadan is the Night of Al-Qadr, based on the Prophet's saying: “Whoever performs the night prayer on the Night of Al-Qadr Read more ...

The Excellence of the Remembrance of Allah

Allah, the Exalted, says: "And the remembering (praising) of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising) of Allah in prayers]'' [Quran, 29:45] "Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will remember you.'' [Quran, 2:152] "And remember your Rubb by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear and without loudness in words, in the mornings and in the afternoons, and be not of those who are neglectful.'' [Quran, 7:205] "And remember Allah much, that you may be successful.'' [Quran, 62:10] "Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allah in Islam) men and women... (up to)... And Read more ...

Does Allah come down to the first heaven on the night of fifteenth Sha’baan?

Praise be to Allah.   This is mentioned in some ahaadeeth, but there is some scholarly difference of opinion as to the soundness of those ahaadeeth. There is no saheeh hadeeth concerning the virtue of the night of the fifteenth of Sha'baan.  It was narrated from Abu Moosa al-Ash'ari that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah looks down on the night of the fifteenth of Sha'baan and forgives all his creation except a mushrik or one who harbours hatred against the Muslims.” [Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1390.] The “one who harbours hatred against the Muslims” means one who has enmity towards a Muslim brother. Shab-e-barat: Bid’ah of Sha’baan

Praise be to Allah. Some Muslims celebrate the middle of Sha'baan, fasting on that day and spending that night in prayer (qiyaam). There is a hadeeth concerning that which is not saheeh, hence the scholars regarded celebrating this day as an innovation (bid'ah). Muhammad 'Abd al-Salaam al-Shuqayri said: Imam al-Fatni said in Tadhkirat al-Mawdoo'aat: "Among the innovations that have been introduced on “Laylat an-Nusf” (mid-Sha'baan) is al-Salaat al-Alfiyyah, which is one hundred rak'ahs in which Soorat al-Ikhlaas is recited ten times in each rak'ah, offered in congregation; they pay more attention to this than to Jumu'ah and Eid prayers, although there Read more ...

Connection to the Heavens – Speed dial to Allah

Every time you raise your hands to the sky and make du'a to Allah subhana wa ta’ala, you are calling up a toll-free number with no long distance charges.
