Picture Perfect : A righteous child prays…

Abu Hurayrah quoted the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) as saying, "When a man dies, his acts come to an end, except in three cases: an ongoing charity, knowledge from which people continue to benefit, and a RIGHTEOUS CHILD WHO PRAYS FOR HIM." - [Sahih Muslim, vol. 3, p.867, no. 4005, and Sunan Abu Dawud, vol. 2, p.812, no.2874] Read more ...

The Manners of Welcoming the New-Born Child in Islam

The Manners of Welcoming the New-Born Child in Islam by Abu Rumaysah Children are a source of delight and an adornment for the world granted by Allah to their parents, they give vigour to the hearts, joy to the souls, pleasure to the eyes. They are the fruit from whom good is to be hoped for when they frequently supplicate: "Our Lord! Bestow on them your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small." and they are the ones in every nation upon whom hope for the future lies, and they are the youth of tomorrow upon whose shoulders the call to Islam is carried. Indeed Islam has indeed elevated the status of children and has laid down manners for their treatment Read more ...

Motherhood

It is the right of your mother that you should appreciate that she carried you [in her womb] the way nobody carries anybody, She fed you the fruits of her heart which nobody feeds anybody. She protected you [during pregnancy] with her ears, eyes, hands, legs, hair, limbs, [in short] with her whole being, gladly, cheerfully, and carefully; suffering patiently all the worries, pains, difficulties, and sorrows. Till Allah removed you from her and brought you into this world. Then she was most happy, feeding you forgetting her own hunger, clothing you even if she herself had no clothes, giving you milk and water not caring for her own thirst, keeping you in Read more ...

Goodbye My Beloved

The Prophet said (to the messenger), "Go back and tell her that whatever Allah takes is His, and whatever He gives is His, and everything with Him has a limited fixed term (in This world). So order her to be patient and hope for Allah's reward." But she sent the messenger to the Prophet again, swearing that he should come to her. So the Prophet got up, and so did Sa'd bin 'Ubada Read more ...

'Fear Allah & be just with your children' - Does Justice Mean Equality? By - Hajar al-Rajhi Source : www.islamtoday.com Al-Nu'man b. Bashir once addressed the people from the pulpit and told them about what took place between the Prophet and his father, saying: My father gave him a gift. Then my mother, 'Amrah bint Rawahah, said: “I will not be satisfied until Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon it) is a witness to it.” So my father went to Allah’s Messenger and said: “I gave a gift to my son from 'Amrah bint Rawahah, and she told me to have you be a witness to it, O Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: “Did you give Read more ...

The miracle is right here…

The miracle is right here... I have witnessed the birth of my daughter Zainab and it’s truly a miracle of Allah. A bounty and favor that Allah has bestowed upon me and my family. I remember when we used to discuss that she was  2 cm long, then a handspan then 2 handspans and now she’s a healthy being staring at the world with exploratory eyes. I thank Allah for His Mercy to me and my family. This also reminds me to be thankful for all the other “little things,” that I take for granted everyday. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised us, the best way to stay thankful to Allah is to count His favours in our lives everyday, for Read more ...
