“The Fast of David... There is No Better Fast than That” - Sheikh Muhammad Muhammad Salim `Abd al-Wadud The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to `Abd Allah b. `Amr b. al-`as: “Fast one day and break your fast one day. Time is of essence

Time is of the essence. It is too precious to be wasted or neglected. The wise person is one who pays attention to time and does not treat it as a vessel to be filled with cheap things and vain talk. Instead, the wise person limits it to worthy efforts and righteous deeds that please Allah and benefit others. Every minute of a person's life carries the potential to raise that person's status, to attain Allah's pleasure, and to make other people happier, little by little.
