“The Fast of David... There is No Better Fast than That”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to `Abd Allah b. `Amr b. al-`as: “Fast one day and break your fast one day. This was the fast of David (peace be upon him), and it is the best of fasts.”
`Abd Allah b. `Amr then said: “I can do better than that.”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: “There is no fast better than that.” [Sahih al-Bukhari (1840)]

Time is of essence
Time is of the essence. It is too precious to be wasted or neglected.
The wise person is one who pays attention to time and does not treat it as a vessel to be filled with cheap things and vain talk. Instead, the wise person limits it to worthy efforts and righteous deeds that please Allah and benefit others.
Every minute of a person's life carries the potential to raise that person's status, to attain Allah's pleasure, and to make other people happier, little by little.
If you are keen to attain the high ranks in Paradise, a high position in this life, and bring the most happiness to your people, then forget about relaxing and keep away from empty amusements.
